Ján Homér (born December 11, 1980 in Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Buran Voronezh in the Wysschaja Hockey League since May 2014 .

Career

Ján Homér began his career as a hockey player in the youth of HK Spartak Dubnica , for whose professional team he was active from 1997 to 1999 in the second-rate first division . Then the defender moved to the Czech first division club HC Zlín , for which he spent the following four years in the Czech extra league , while he ran parallel for HC Prostějov in the first division .

In the summer of 2003 Hómer returned to his Slovak homeland, where he was on the ice for the next six years for HC Dukla Trenčín in the extra league, with which he was Slovak champion for the first time in the 2003/04 season . For the 2009/10 season, the left shooter received a contract with the reigning champions HC Košice . With this he also won the championship title in 2010 and 2011.

In the 2012/13 season Hómer played for HK Njoman Hrodna in the Belarusian extra league and won the Belarusian championship with the club at the end of the season. He was then committed by HK Saryarka Karaganda from the Wysschaja Hockey League . With the club from Kazakhstan, he won the league championship in 2014 and was then signed by HK Buran Voronezh in May 2014 .
