The LHK Jestřábi Prostějov is a Czech ice hockey club from Prostějov that has been participating in the second division of the Czech Republic, the 1st division , since 2014 . It is the successor club of HC Prostějov, which was founded in 1913 as Sportovní klub Prostějov .

The original club was founded in 1913 under the name Sportovní klub Prostějov . In 1948 the association was renamed Sokol II Prostějov , 1950 in Sokol ČSSZ Prostějov , 1953 in Tatran Prostějov and 1956 in Slovan Prostějov . In December 1959, the club merged with Baník Prostějov to form TJ Železárny Prostějov - the club played under this name until 1969. Then you played until the end of the 1980s as TJ Prostějov , before the club was renamed HKC Prostějov . In 1995, BH Sport Prostějov took over gaming operations, but in 1997 it disappeared again. Then IHC Prostějov, sro took over the game operations, but sold the license to HC Rosice after the 1997/98 season . Therefore, the IHC Prostějov took part in the 2nd league in 1998/99, which he was able to win and thus rose again to the 1st league. Associated with the rise was another renaming to Hockey Club Prostějov sro, HC Prostějov for short .

At the end of the 2003/04 season, the club lost the relegation to remain in the first division and was relegated. The club then broke up. At the same time, today's HK Jestřábi Prostějov, who acquired the HC license and was champion of the 2nd division in the 2004/05 season, was founded. Between 2005 and 2008 the club played again in the first division before relegating to the second division in 1998.

In 2014, the club managed to move up to the first division after taking first place after the preliminary round in the east and winning the east final in the relegation to the first division.
