history

Before it became independent, the association was known by different names. In 1945 there was a first ice hockey team at Sokol Ústí nad Labem . This club was later renamed ZSJ Armaturka and TJ Chemička before the TJ Slovan Ústí nad Labem was founded in 1963 .

The club was able to achieve the championship title in the third class 2nd division in 1999, but only rose to the 1st division a year later . At the end of the 2005/06 season he was able to win the championship title of the first division for the first time, but could not be promoted to the extra league, as this was a closed league at that time.

The greatest success in the club's history so far was achieved in 2007 when HC Slovan was able to celebrate the championship of the first division and was allowed to move up to the extra league. This was possible because the closed league violated the Czech antitrust law and thus the winner of the 1st league was granted a right of promotion without economic conditions. However, the club rose after a year of first class back down in the first division, as the team of HC Slovan lost the relegation series against BK Mladá Boleslav 4-1. In the following season of the first division, the club dominated this division and finished the main round with 110 points. In the final series for the championship title and the participation in the relegation to the extra league, the team met HC Kometa Brno , which was defeated with 4-2 wins. Thus the club from Ústí again reached the championship title of the first division. Also in 2011 the club won the first division.

Home ground

The Zlatopramen Arena was built in 1965 and held 6,500 spectators at that time, 1,866 of which were standing and 4,634 were seats. The ice rink was not rebuilt until 2004. Among other things, a video cube was installed. Since the renovation, the hall has a maximum capacity of 6,634 spectators, made up of 2,000 standing places and 4,634 seats.
