The 2013/14 season was the 21st regular staging of the second highest Czech ice hockey league , the 1st česká hokejová league . The champions of the league was BK Mladá Boleslav , who prevailed together with second-placed HC Olomouc in the league relegation and rose to the extra league.
mode
In 52 games of the main round, all teams play against each other four times, each team has 26 home and 26 away games. The teams in places 1 to 8 qualify for the playoffs, while the remaining six teams in the playouts play off the two participants in the relegation.
The playoffs are played in best-of-seven mode. The two victorious semi-finalists qualify for the relegation to participate in the extra league, the play-off final is not played. The finalist who is better placed in the main round will be the champion.
The last two teams in the playouts play a league relegation against the three season winners of the 2nd division . The two best teams in the relegation qualify for the first division of the following season.
