János Hanek

János Hanek (born May 29, 1937 ) is a former Hungarian football player .

Athletic career

Hanek comes from the youth of Ferencváros Budapest , he made his debut for the club as a teenager in the Nemzeti Bajnokság . In the spring of 1957 he fled to Germany with his compatriots Tibor Lőrincz and István Sztani , where the trio stayed at Eintracht Frankfurt and was looked after by Anton Hübler, who was born in Pécs , Hungary . Due to a ban from FIFA , the trio was initially only used in friendly games, in the second half of the season 1957/58 the players finally made their debut in the Oberliga Süd . After only two league games, he moved to the relegated Stuttgarter Kickers at the end of the season , where he contributed as a regular player with six goals in 27 games in the II. Division to direct promotion. In the Oberliga Süd he played 22 season games in the season 1959/60 , but the team around Axel Dünnwald-Metzler , Pál Csernai , Herbert Dienelt and Manfred Eglin missed relegation as bottom of the table.

From 1960 onwards, Hanek earned his living in the Netherlands, where he worked with the 1958 master DOS Utrecht . In two seasons he scored 32 goals in 66 games in the Eredivisie . He then moved to the third division Alkmaar '54 , who rose to the Eerste Divisie in 1964 . In 1966 he moved to DTS Oudkarspel in the Netherlands , before he tried his luck in North America from 1968 and moved to the North American Soccer League . After half a year with the Vancouver Royals , he moved to the Kansas City Spurs in the summer of that year . There he ended his active career in 1970.
