Tibor Lőrincz (born August 30, 1938 Budapest , Kingdom of Hungary ) is a former Hungarian football player .

Career

Beginning in Hungary

Lőrincz, who lost his father in the last bombing raid on Budapest in 1945 and his mother three years later, grew up as an orphan from the age of 10. The football club Csepel MTE took on him, where Lőrincz, thanks to his talent and love for football, was able to play in the Nemzeti Bajnokság , the top division in Hungary , at the age of 15 . In 1955, he also matured to become a junior national player who, with the selection team - equipped with a special permit from the Hungarian Association - used the opportunity to go on game trips to other Western European countries. In the seasons 1956 and 1957 he was in charge of Budapesti Vasas or - after the name change in 1957 - Vasas SC , which he led to the championship after a simple game round.

Continuation in Germany

The encounter with a Frankfurt manager in 1956 had far-reaching consequences: Lőrincz was committed to the 1957/58 season by the league club Eintracht Frankfurt , for whom he played three league games and scored one goal. He made his debut in the top German league at the time on January 19, 1958 (21st matchday) in a 2-0 home win against FSV Frankfurt . In his second use, on January 26, 1958 (22nd matchday), in a 3-2 win in the home game against Kickers Offenbach , he scored his only league goal with the goal to 2-0 in the 24th minute. A week later, on February 2, 1958 (23rd matchday), he played in the goalless draw in the away game against the Stuttgarter Kickers for the last time for Frankfurt Eintracht.

The 1958/59 season he played for the Altona 93 in the Oberliga Nord . With three goals in 14 of 30 point games, he contributed to eighth place in the table. For the 1959/60 season he was signed by Bayern Munich , for which he was not used in the Oberliga Süd .

... and in the Netherlands

He was then able to gain a foothold in the Netherlands: For Alkmaar '54 , who had been promoted to the Eredivisie , the top division, for the 1960/61 season , he completed 30 first division games and scored nine goals. By relegation he played the following two seasons until the end of the 1962/63 season, however, in the second-rate Eerste Divisie , in which he scored 31 goals in 59 league games. From 1963 to 1965 he was active for the AGOVV Apeldoorn , the amateur club from Apeldoorn in the province of Gelderland . With a total of 85 league goals in five seasons in three divisions, he is one of the most successful goal scorers in Dutch football.

Degree in Switzerland / Liechtenstein

From 1965/66 to 1966/67 he was active for the Swiss national B division FC St. Gallen , for which he attracted attention in the first season with 17 goals. He then worked for city rivals SC Brühl St. Gallen - until the end of the 1968/69 season. He was one of the few who contested the city derby for both teams . In the first one he managed to equalize the 3: 3 draw for FC St. Gallen on the Krontal , two years later in Espenmoos for SC Brühl St. Gallen the first goal in the 4: 4 draw.

He ended his football career in Liechtenstein at FC Vaduz in 1971, after two seasons, as a player- coach.
