József Ficzkó or Fitzkó; (Jožef Ficko) (born March 15, 1772 in Boreča , † November 28, 1843 in Peresznye ) was a Burgenland-Croatian writer and Catholic priest of Slovene descent.

Ficzkó grew up in the Slovene area Tótság / Slovenska okroglina (today Prekmurje , German: Übermurgebiet). His parents were called Miklós and Ilona Ficzkó. Miklós Küzmics supported his studies in Steinamanger ( Szombathely ). In 1797 he was ordained a priest, from 1802 he was pastor in Prössing (Peresznye).

Ficzkó had learned Croatian and was active as a writer . His works have contributed to the development of Burgenland-Croatian literature. Ficzkó rejected Illyrism , the new Serbo-Croatian language and the Gajic alphabet , he only supported the Burgenland-Croatian language .
