Jörg Baldauf (born August 19, 1967 in Sindelfingen ) is a former German disabled athlete in the field of Nordic skiing . Baldauf, whose left arm and right leg was disabled in a traffic accident in 1990, lives and trains in Schönau , a district of Grünenbach in the Allgäu. Jörg Baldauf started in the handicapped class LW 9.

Baldauf took part in the Paralympic Winter Games for the first time in Nagano in 1998 . These were also his most successful Paralympic Winter Games. In the classic 5 km, Baldauf had a serious fall shortly before the finish, so that he ended up in 4th place just 2.0 seconds behind bronze and thus achieved his best placement at the Paralympic Winter Games.

At the World Championships for the disabled in 2003 in Baiersbronn , Baldauf won the silver medal in the 5 km classic as well as two 4th places in the biathlon.

Other notable successes are the two gold medals at the 2001 European Disability Championships in Sollefteå , Sweden .

He came to disabled sports through his teammate Frank Höfle . Before his traffic accident in June 1990, Baldauf was employed as a customs officer at German customs .
