Jörg Endebrock

Jörg Endebrock (* 1970 in Osnabrück ) is a German church musician and as such a conductor, choirmaster, harpsichordist and organist .

Jörg Endebrock studied Protestant church music (A) in Hamburg and organ as a scholarship holder of the German Academic Exchange Service. V. in Paris with Susan Landale. In 1999 he completed his postgraduate studies with a “Prix d'éxcellence” and a “Prix de virtuosité avec félicitations”. He was a prizewinner at the International César Franck Competition in Haarlem (2nd Prize and Tournemire Prize, 1998) and at the International Organ Competition of the City of Paris (Prize for the best interpretation of the commissioned composition, 1999). During his studies, he gained important experience in renowned choirs, including the NDR choir. From 1999 to 2008 he was cantor of the Christ Church in Freiburg , from November 2008 to November 2019 he was responsible for the music at the Luther Church in Wiesbaden . Endebrock led the Wiesbaden Bach Choir (100 singers) and the Wiesbaden Chamber Choir (35 singers). In 2015 he founded the Evangelische Singakademie Wiesbaden, which emerged from the children's and youth choir work of the Bach Choir and in which around 300 young singers rehearse in 11 groups every week.

As a concert organist, he performs a lively concert activity in Germany and its neighboring European countries. Radio recordings on NDR, SWR and Radio France as well as CD recordings complete the picture of his artistic activity. Since January 1st, 2020 he has been a church musician at the main church Sankt Michaelis in Hamburg. There he succeeded church music director Christoph Schoener , who retired at the end of 2019.
