Jörg Kiesewetter

Jörg Kiesewetter (born March 22, 1980 in Wolfen ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and member of the Saxon state parliament .

Profession and volunteering

Kiesewetter passed his Abitur at the Delitzsch Business School in 1999 . He then studied in the department of social administration and insurance and obtained a degree in administrative management (FH) at the University of Applied Sciences of the Saxon Administration of Meißen (FHSV). In 2003 he became an employee of the Delitzsch district , where he was department head from 2006 to 2007 and then from 2007 to 2008 the official director of the Office for Youth and Social Affairs of the Delitzsch district. From 2008 to 2011 he was head of the immigration office in the district of North Saxony and then from 2012 to 2014 area manager SGB ​​II in the job center there .

In 2002 he joined the CDU and became deputy chairman of the CDU city association Delitzsch. He is also an assessor in the district committee of the CDU North Saxony and in the state committee of the East and Central German Association . He is also a member of the Integration Network (formerly: Resettler Commissioner Conference) of the CDU in Germany.

He is honorary chairman of the Protestant parish of Laue and a member of the volunteer fire brigade and the Diakonisches Werk Delitzsch. Kiesewetter is single and has one child.

Political electoral offices

In the local elections in Saxony in 2004 he was elected a member of the Delitzsch city council and is still a member of the council today. He is an honorary member of the supervisory board of Stadtwerke Delitzsch .

In the state elections in Saxony on August 31, 2014, he ran as a direct candidate in constituency 35 (North Saxony 2) and was directly elected to the Saxon state parliament with 45.1% of the votes. There he is a member of the Constitutional and Legal Committee and the Committee on Social Affairs, Consumer Protection, Equality and Integration.

Kiesewetter is Vice President of the Parliamentary Forum Central and Eastern Europe eV, a non-partisan association of Saxon parliamentarians and leaders from business and society, which promotes cooperation between Saxon as well as Central and Eastern European actors from politics and administration, with the aim of business, science and culture and to support social developments.

In the state elections in Saxony in 2019 , he was elected constituency member in the constituency of North Saxony 1 with 35.4% of the direct votes.
