Jörg Scherbe (born October 19, 1977 in Cottbus ) is a former German football professional.

Life

In his youth Jörg Scherbe was active at FC Energie Cottbus . At the age of 16 moved to the A-youth of the Bundesliga club KFC Uerdingen 05 . After Uerdingen was relegated from the Bundesliga in 1996, Scherbe made his professional debut on matchday 32 of the first second division season . He was substituted on in the second half and later sent off with a red card. In the following season, Scherbe already made 20 appearances and scored two goals. In 1998/99 Scherbe was definitely a regular player and was missing only on one match day, he scored five goals, three of which were penalties. At the end of the season, Uerdingen was relegated to the regional soccer league .

Scherbe then left Krefeld and signed with Bundesliga club TSV 1860 Munich . However, he injured himself in preparation and did not get into step there. He only played twice for the second team and moved to the second division Energie Cottbus in October of the same year . He played in the Bundesliga with FC Energie Cottbus for two years before moving to his first professional club, KFC Uerdingen 05, in the Regionalliga Nord. Within the Regionalliga Nord, Jörg Scherbe moved to Rot-Weiß Oberhausen for a year in the 2005/06 season. After his guest appearance in Oberhausen he joined SV Straelen , where he played his last game against Schwarz-Weiß Essen on April 30, 2008 .

Jörg Scherbe was the sporting director and assistant coach at the Lower Rhine division VfR Krefeld-Fischeln . He ended this engagement for professional reasons in October 2010.
