Jörg Spengler (born December 23, 1938 in Remscheid ; † November 26, 2013 in Nuremberg ) was a German sailor .

Already in 1970 European champion with his co-sailor from Salzem , Spengler became world champion in 1975 together with Jörg Schmall . The two sailors belonged to the Noris Yacht Club . He won a bronze medal at the Olympic Games that took place the following year . Together with the German Olympic team, he received the Silver Laurel Leaf from Federal President Walter Scheel .

In 1977, this time at the start with Rolf Dullenkopf , he again won the Tornado World Championship. Architect Spengler was married and had two children.
