Jörg Thamm (born July 13, 1965 in Arnstadt ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Thuringian state parliament from 2014 to 2019 .

Professional background

Thamm attended the Polytechnic Oberschule in Plaue from 1972 to 1982 and then began training as a gardener specializing in fruit production. From 1984 to 1987 he did his military service. In 1991 he completed his master's degree as a master gardener. He then became an employee of the community of Ichtershausen (since 2013: Amt Wachsenburg ), since 1993 as head of the building yard.

politics

1996 Thamm became a member of the city council of Plaue; since 2004 he has been honorary mayor there. In the state elections in Thuringia in 2014 , he won the direct mandate in the constituency of Ilm-Kreis II . He lost his mandate in the state elections in Thuringia in 2019 . and was thus elected to the Thuringian state parliament for the first time.
