Jörg Zimmermann (philosopher)
Jörg Zimmermann (born May 16, 1946 in Nümbrecht ) is a German philosopher .
Life
He studied philosophy, German literature , art history , musicology and the theory of psychoanalysis at the University of Tübingen . After receiving his doctorate in Tübingen in 1974 , he was a research assistant in Hamburg from 1979 to 1986 . After his habilitation in 1982, he became a professor at the FHS Hannover in 1987 and a full professor in Mainz from 1995 to 2011 .
