Jörn Frommann

Jörn Frommann (* 7. August 1967 in Hamburg ) is a Hamburg politician of the CDU .

Life

After graduating from high school at the Süderelbe secondary school in 1987, Jörn Frommann trained as a freight forwarder from 1987 to 1989 . He then studied from 1991 to 1997 at the University of Hamburg with a degree in business administration . Since 1999 he has been a partner and managing director of ImmobilienKontorFrommann GmbH and since 1988 a partner in Anlagen Maintenance GmbH.

He is the father of two daughters and has lived in Wilhelmsburg since 1998.

Jörn Frommann has been a member of the CDU since 1986. From 1995 to 1999 he was a member of the Harburg district assembly . He was then from 2001 to 2004 Deputy of the Ministry of the Interior and in the same period chairman of the Wilhelmsburg local committee .

From December 3, 1999 to October 10, 2001 he was represented for the first time in the Hamburg Parliament, then again from March 17, 2004 to March 7, 2011. There he sat for his parliamentary group since 2004 in the submission committee and urban development committee and since 2008 in Sports Committee. In the 18th electoral term (2004 to 2008) he also sat on the Interior Committee and was a member of the Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (PUA) closed accommodation on Feuerbergstrasse . In the 19th legislative period he was also a member of the PUA Elbphilharmonie .

From June 2007 to March 2011 he was also a member of the hardship commission and from 2008 to 2011 he was the specialist spokesman for his parliamentary group for the “Leap across the Elbe”, one of the key projects of the CDU-led Senate. Since 2008 he has been the chairman of his parliamentary group in the submission committee.

From March 2011 to May 2014 he was a member of the CDU parliamentary group in the Hamburg-Mitte district assembly, and was elected chairman on February 2, 2012.
