Jewish cemetery in Lich

The Jewish cemetery in Lich , a town in the central Hessian district of Gießen , was probably laid out at the beginning of the 19th century. Today's 637 m² cemetery was enlarged in 1920.

The deceased of the Jewish community of Ettingshausen were also buried in the Jewish cemetery , which is protected as a cultural monument . Today there are still around 40 to 50 tombstones . The last grave is from 1938: Bernhard Lind (born 1877; died 1938 in Buchenwald concentration camp ).
