The Jewish cemetery in Zerbst / Anhalt , a town in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in the state of Saxony-Anhalt , was laid out in 1769 or 1782. The Jewish cemetery on Grünen Strasse is a protected cultural monument .

In the cemetery, which was restored in the 1980s, there are still around 40 to 50 tombstones today . On the arched entrance is a Hebrew and German inscription from the hymn Jigdal : The Almighty will revive the dead in his infinite goodness .

On the right side there is a plaque with the inscription:

To the Jewish citizens of the city of Zerbst
In memory of the fascist pogrom night on November 9, 1938 .
