Jewish cemetery (Baden-Baden)
The Jewish cemetery Baden-Baden is a Jewish cemetery in Baden-Baden , a city in the west of Baden-Württemberg . The cemetery is located on Eckbergstrasse and is part of the Lichtental municipal cemetery.
history
The dead of the Jewish community in Baden-Baden and the deceased Jewish spa guests were first buried in the Jewish cemetery in Kuppenheim .
From 1918 to 1921 a Jewish cemetery was laid out in the Lichtental district , which adjoins the city cemetery. The 23.81 ares large cemetery is still in use today.
In the cemetery there is a cemetery hall ( Tahara House ) and over 150 tombstones ( Mazewot ). In 1976 a memorial stone was inaugurated to commemorate the destroyed synagogue .
