The Bautzen Jewish Cemetery is a cemetery in the city of Bautzen in the district of the same name in Saxony .

The 1295 m² Jewish cemetery is located in the Gesundbrunnen district of Bautzen at Muskauer Straße 67. 22 tombstones have been preserved.

history

The Jewish cemetery in Bautzen was laid out around 1900. The oldest tombstone is from 1906 (Moritz Zander). During the First World War , four Russian-Jewish prisoners of war and forced laborers were also buried in the rear left part of the burial ground. During the Second World War , over 200 slave laborers were buried, for whom there is a grave with an inscription.
