The Bodenwerder Jewish cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in the small town of Bodenwerder ( joint municipality of Bodenwerder-Polle ) in the Holzminden district of Lower Saxony . It is a protected cultural monument .

In the very small cemetery , which lies in front of the mill gate and was occupied from 1677 to 1937, there are “4 preserved” tombstones , which is why it is probably the oldest Jewish cemetery in the area. In the cemetery, which was covered with a layer of gravel and served as storage space for the adjacent shipyard around 1940 after the tombstones had been removed, an information board was set up in 2005 describing the history of the cemetery.
