Jewish cemetery (Hehlen)
The Hehlen Jewish cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in the Lower Saxony municipality of Hehlen ( joint municipality of Bodenwerder-Polle ) in the Holzminden district . It is a protected cultural monument .
The 198 m² cemetery , which was rebuilt in 1740, is located on the small railway outside the village on the steep slope of the Weser . There are 21 tombstones on it . The oldest is from 1828, the youngest from 1907. The last funeral also took place in that year. The cemetery was destroyed in 1938. It was later restored.
