The Jewish cemetery in the local community of Kirrweiler (Pfalz) in the Südliche Weinstrasse district in Rhineland-Palatinate is a protected cultural monument .

The Jewish cemetery , which has an area of ​​550 square meters, is located about 200 meters north of the town on Neustadter Weg and can be reached via Jahnstraße. There are 46 tombstones on it .

history

The cemetery was occupied from 1867 to 1931. It also served as a burial place for the Jews in Maikammer and Diedesfeld .

It was forcibly sold in 1943 during the National Socialist era . The tombstones are said to have been cleared during the war years and only put back up in the cemetery after 1945. In 1980 the cemetery was restored.
