The Lügde Jewish Cemetery is located in the city of Lügde in the Lippe district in North Rhine-Westphalia . The Jewish cemetery is registered with the number 119 as an architectural monument in the list of monuments of the city of Lügde .

The Jewish cemetery in Lügde is located between Waldstrasse and An der rote Kuhle . It was occupied from 1888 to 1933. It is also known as the new Jewish cemetery. 33 tombstones ( mazewot ) are still preserved in the cemetery today .

Before that there was already an older Jewish cemetery in Lügde, which was occupied from 1773 to 1887. It was located in the area of ​​the ramparts at the upper gate. During the period of National Socialism , 6 of the 10 tombstones still in existence at that time were destroyed and the remaining 4 were removed.

An even older burial site for the Jews in Lügde is said to have been in front of the Lower Gate. There are no traces here either.
