The New Jewish Cemetery of Lemgo is located on the corner of Konsul-Wolff-Strasse and Hinter dem Friedhof , in the southeastern area of ​​the Rintelner Strasse municipal cemetery. It was laid out as the successor to the old Jewish cemetery on Ostertorwall and was occupied from 1873 to 1950. Over 100 tombstones ( mazewot ) have been preserved in the cemetery . During the National Socialist era , the cemetery was desecrated, tombstones were overturned and the site was devastated.
