Jewish cemetery in Sarre-Union

The Jewish cemetery in Sarre-Union , a French commune in the Bas-Rhin department of the Grand Est region , was laid out in the second half of the 18th century. The Jewish cemetery at Chemin Axmatt is still occupied by the Jewish families living in Sarre-Union and the surrounding area. There are about 400 tombstones in the cemetery .

Desecrations of the cemetery

In 1988, 60 tombstones were overturned. In 2001 54 graves were devastated and in February 2015 about 250 graves were devastated.
