Jewish cemetery (Herrlisheim)

The Herrlisheim Jewish Cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in the French commune of Herrlisheim in the Bas-Rhin department in Alsace . The Jewish cemetery is on Rue d'Offendorf.

history

The Jewish cemetery was laid out in 1886. The dead from the Jewish communities in Herrlisheim and Offendorf were buried there. There are around 250 graves in the cemetery. It is still used today.

In December 2018 the cemetery was desecrated. A large number of gravestones were sprayed with swastikas and other graffiti.
