The Jewish cemetery Steinhude is a Jewish cemetery in Steinhude , a district of Wunstorf in the Hanover region in Lower Saxony . It is a protected cultural monument .
description
The An der Trift cemetery is located east of the village on the edge of the forest in the Hohenholz forest near the Hohenholz waterworks . There is an information board on the cemetery at the waterworks. There are 62 tombstones , but no enclosure. Residents of Steinhude, Großenheidorn and Hagenburg (with Altenhagen) are buried. In the immediate vicinity, at the edge of the forest, is the Paleolithic site on Hohenholz .
