Jürgen Beck (lawyer)

Jürgen Beck (born November 30, 1971 in Bad Kreuznach ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Social Court .

Life

After a childhood in Gau-Bickelheim and graduation Beck studied from 1991 at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz jurisprudence . After the first legal state examination in 1996, the trainee service in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Koblenz followed.

After the second state examination in law in May 1998, Beck entered the social justice system. From 1998 to 2001 he was a probationary judge at the Social Court in Speyer . He was then seconded to the Federal Social Court as a research assistant, then (from 2004 to 2007) to the Federal Constitutional Court. Subsequently, he worked again as a judge at SG Speyer.

Since June 2008 Beck has been head of department for cabinet, parliament and policy matters in the Hessian Ministry of Justice in Wiesbaden. During the secondment there, he was appointed judge at the Hessian State Social Court in Darmstadt in November 2008 .

On March 17, 2011, Jürgen Beck was elected judge at the Federal Social Court. He took office on August 1, 2012. There he belongs to the 12th Senate, which is responsible for the contribution and membership law of health insurance, nursing care insurance, pension insurance and unemployment insurance. In addition to numerous other publications in the field of social law, Beck is in particular co-author of a commentary on the law of statutory health insurance.

Jürgen Beck is married.
