Jürgen Blum (rider)

Jürgen Blum (born April 21, 1956 in Munich ) is a former German eventing rider .

Career

Blum took part in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta in the team event in eventing with his horse Brownie McGee . Together with Bodo Battenberg , Ralf Ehrenbrink and Bettina Overesch-Boeker , the German team finished ninth. He was also able to win a team bronze medal at European Championships.

Personal

Blum's father Gustav-Adolf Blum was the long-time president of the Bavarian Rider and Driver Association. He bought the Eichenhof estate in 1982 . Jürgen Blum is the father of the show jumper Simone Blum , who won the gold medal in the individual at the 2018 World Equestrian Games .
