Chalmoux is a French municipality with 636 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Saône-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement Charolles and the Entre Arroux, Loire et Somme municipal association founded in 2016 . The inhabitants are called Chalmouxois .
geography
Chalmoux is about 40 kilometers east of Moulins in the Bourbonnais . Neighboring municipalities of Chalmoux are Mont in the north, Grury in the northeast, Neuvy-Grandchamp in the east, Perrigny-sur-Loire in the south, Gilly-sur-Loire in the southwest and Bourbon-Lancy in the west.
