Mussy-sous-Dun is located about 55 kilometers west-southwest of Mâcon in the hilly landscape of Brionnais and Charolais on the eponymous river Mussy . Neighboring municipalities of Mussy-sous-Dun are Varennes-sous-Dun in the north, Saint-Racho in the northeast, Anglure-sous-Dun in the east, Chauffailles in the south, Chassigny-sous-Dun in the west and La Chapelle-sous-Dun in the northwest .
