geography

The Barekua River rises on the eastern slope of the Soufrière Ridge ( Terre Elm ) and initially runs parallel to the neighboring Dry Ravine to the east. When entering the coastal plain, it turns more south along the Hagley foothill , flows through Berekua and soon afterwards flows into Grand Bay in the Atlantic .

The next neighboring river to the south is the Am Ba Saut Ravine , which flows between Berekua and the Bois d'Indie mountain .
