Ouroux-sous-le-Bois-Sainte-Marie is a French municipality with 67 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Saône-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement Charolles and the community association La Clayette Chauffailles en Brionnais, founded in 2016 . The inhabitants are called oratories .
geography
The municipality is located about 55 kilometers west of Mâcon in the hills of Brionnais and Charolais . The small rivers in the 4.8 km² municipal area drain to the northwest to the Arconce in the Loire catchment area . In the north and south of the municipality there are smaller forests ( Bois de Laye, Bois des Buissons Brûlés ). In the extreme north of the municipality, the highest point is reached at 417 m above sea level. Neighboring communities of Ouroux-sous-le-Bois-Sainte-Marie are Marcilly-la-Gueurce in the north, Ozolles in the north-east, Colombier-en-Brionnais in the east and south-east and Dyo in the south-west and west.

Ouroux-sous-le-Bois-Sainte-Marie is located off the main national transport routes. The D 985 trunk road runs from Charolles to Lyon, five kilometers west of the municipality .
