Occagnes is a French commune with 655 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Orne department in the Normandy region (before 2016 Basse-Normandie ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Argentan and the Canton of Argentan-1 (until 2015 Argentan-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called Occagnais .

geography

Occagnes is about six kilometers northwest of the city center of Argentan . Occagnes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montabard in the north, Bailleul in the northeast, Silly-en-Gouffern and Sévigny in the east, Moulins-sur-Orne in the south, Monts-sur-Orne in the southwest and Commeaux in the west.
