Tanques is a French commune with 157 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Orne department in the Normandy region (before 2016 Basse-Normandie ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Argentan and the canton of Magny-le-Désert (until 2015 Écouché ). The inhabitants are called Tanquais .
geography
Tanques is about seven kilometers south-southwest of Argentan's city center . Tanques is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Écouché-les-Vallées in the north and northwest, Fleuré in the east, Francheville in the south and southeast and Avoine in the west and southwest.
