Champsecret is a French municipality with 895 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Orne in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the Argentan arrondissement and is part of the canton of Domfront .
geography
Champsecret is about 51 kilometers west-northwest of Alençon . The parish is part of the Normandy-Maine Regional Nature Park . Champsecret is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Dompierre and La Ferrière-aux-Étangs in the north, Le Coulonche in the northeast, Les Monts-d'Andaine in the east and northeast, Juvigny Val d'Andaine in the south and southeast, Perrou in the south, Domfront en Poiraie to the west and south-west and Saint-Bômer-les-Forges to the west and north-west.
