La Coulonche is a French municipality with 493 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Orne in the region Normandy (before 2016 Basse-Normandie ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Argentan and the canton of La Ferté-Macé ( Messei until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Coulonchois .

La Coulonche is about 33 kilometers west-southwest of Argentan . La Coulonche is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bellou-en-Houlme in the north, Le Ménil-de-Briouze in the east and northeast, Les Monts d'Andaine in the south and east, Champsecret in the south and southwest and La Ferrière-aux-Étangs in the west and northwest.
