Montsecret-Clairefougère is a French municipality with 665 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Orne in the region of Normandy . Montsecret-Clairefougère is part of the Argentan arrondissement and the Domfront canton (until 2015: Tinchebray canton ). The community is part of the Domfront Tinchebray Interco community association . The inhabitants are called Monsecréens and Clarificiens .

Saint-Quentin-les-Chardonnets is located about 69 kilometers west-northwest of Alençon . Saint-Quentin-les-Chardonnets is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Moncy in the north, Saint-Pierre-d'Entremont in the northeast, Cerisy-Belle-Étoile in the east and southeast, Tinchebray-Bocage in the south, and Saint-Quentin-les-Chardonnets in the Southwest and Valdallière to the west and northwest.

In 2015 the municipalities of Montsecret and Clairefougère were merged. The administrative center is in the locality of Montsecret.
