Cahan is a commune with 181 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Orne in the region of Normandy .

geography

Cahan is located 15 kilometers northeast of Flers and the Noireau flows through it. The river flows through a small valley surrounded by wooded slopes. Cahan is right on the border with the Calvados department and close to the tourist centers of Pont-d'Ouilly and Clécy . The village is on the edge of the Norman Switzerland .

Sports

The Noireau is attractive to anglers and whitewater enthusiasts, who can descend it to Pont-d'Ouilly, two kilometers away. Two larger hiking trails lead through the municipality, there are also numerous smaller trails.
