La Selle-la-Forge is a French commune with 1,466 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Orne in the region of Normandy . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Argentan and the canton of Flers-2 (until 2015: canton of Flers-Sud ). The inhabitants are called Sellois .

La Selle-la-Forge is about 51 kilometers south-southwest of Caen . The Vère forms the northern municipal boundary. La Selle-la-Forge is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Flers in the north and west, Ronfeugerai in the northeast, Landigou in the east and Messei in the south.
