Messei is a French commune with 1,908 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Orne in the region of Normandy . It belongs to Arrondissement Argentan and Canton La Ferte-Mace (2015: Canton Messei ). The inhabitants are called Messéens .

geography

Messei lies on the Varenne , which borders the municipality in the south. Messei is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Selle-la-Forge in the north, Landigou in the northeast, Échalou in the east and northeast, Saint-André-de-Messei in the south and southeast, Le Châtellier in the southwest, and La Chapelle-au-Moine in the west as well as Flers in the northwest.
