Ozolles is a French municipality with 418 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Saône-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement Charolles and the community association Le Grand Charolais founded in 2016 . The inhabitants are called Ozollois .
geography
The community is located about 52 kilometers west of Mâcon in the Charolais hills . The small rivers in the community area of 27.2 km² drain to the northwest over the Ozolette to the Arconce in the Loire catchment area . The community is characterized by a mixture of forests, meadows and fields. In the south of the municipality, near the hamlet of Les Forgeats, the highest point is reached at 510 m above sea level. Numerous districts belong to the community. The largest are Sommery, Montchalon, Verquilleux, Les Fougères, Les Drouillards, La Ronde, Crary, Cloudeau, Pomey, les Forgeats and Rambuteau . Neighboring municipalities of Ozolles are Vendenesse-lès-Charolles in the north, Beaubery in the northeast, Verosvres in the east (point of contact), Montmelard in the southeast, Gibles and Bois-Sainte-Marie in the south, Colombier-en-Brionnais in the southwest, Ouroux-sous-le -Bois-Sainte-Marie and Marcilly-la-Gueurce in the west and Vaudebarrier in the northwest.

Ozolles is located away from the nationally important traffic routes. The D 985 trunk road runs from Charolles to Lyon, nine kilometers west of the municipality . Ten kilometers north-east of Ozolles there is a connection to the motorway-like route nationale 79 from Mâcon to Moulins .
