Jürgen Buchmann (born October 29, 1945 in Obernkirchen / Schaumburg-Lippe ) is a German writer and philologist.

Life

Jürgen Buchmann grew up in Lüneburg . He studied classical philology and philosophy in Hamburg, Tübingen and Konstanz and received his doctorate in 1975 from the University of Konstanz . From 1975 until his retirement in 2005 he was a lecturer in ancient languages ​​and philosophy at the Oberstufenkolleg of North Rhine-Westphalia at Bielefeld University and has since lived as a freelance writer in Werther (Westphalia) .
