Jürgen K. Hultenreich (* 1948 in Erfurt ) is a German author.

Life

Jürgen K. Hultenreich grew up in Erfurt and worked there as a window dresser, musician, librarian and poetry reviewer. In 1966 he was imprisoned in Erfurt for six months after trying to escape and was forcibly committed to the Mühlhausen-Pfafferode Psychiatric Clinic for three weeks during this time. In 1985 he was allowed to leave the GDR. Since then he has lived in Berlin-Wedding as a freelance writer. He writes articles for radio and television. Hultenreich is the First Land Commander of the Evangelical Brotherhood of St. George's Order .
