Jürgen Koch (cook)
Jürgen Koch (* 1963 in Bad Mergentheim ) is a German chef .
Career
After completing his cooking apprenticeship, Jürgen Koch went to the USA, Mexico, Hong Kong, Switzerland, France and Italy. Since 1998 he and his wife have been running their own hotel called Laurentius in Weikersheim in Tauberfranken .
The restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star . A special feature is his commitment to high-quality regional products such as Hohenloher beef, Swabian-Hällisches Landschwein or grape varieties such as Tauberschwarz .
Koch is a member of the Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe , an association of young top chefs.
From June 2010 to October 2013, Koch wrote, alternating with Christian Mittermeier and Karl-Josef Fuchs, for the blog “Nachgesalzen” on Zeit Online .
