Jürgen Landt

Jürgen Landt (* 1957 in Loitz , Western Pomerania) is a German author .

Landt was expatriated from the GDR in 1983 and moved to Hamburg . He currently lives as a freelance author in Greifswald . Jürgen Landt has published several volumes of short prose since 1988.

In 1999 he received a working grant from the Berlin Cultural Fund Foundation , after which he received three literary grants from the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

In 2007 his first novel "Sun kisser" was published by Edition M . The autobiographical novel about his childhood and youth up to the age of 19 is about the unadjusted Peter Sorgenich, who wants to live independently and without taking on responsibility. Mathias Schnitzler characterizes the novel as "excessive, raw, brutal ... truly ... and ... good." He describes the GDR from the bottom up.
