Jürgen Lenders
Jürgen Lenders (born April 20, 1966 in Krefeld ) is a German politician ( FDP ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .
education and profession
After completing secondary school, Jürgen Lenders trained as a businessman in the electrical trade. After his military service he worked again in the training company and later in a shop fitting company as head of purchasing. In 1994, he set out with a private company independent .
politics
Jürgen Lenders has been a member of the FDP since 1995 and is active there in various board positions. Lenders is the founding chairman of the district association of young liberals (JuLis), since 1997 district chairman of the FDP in the district of Fulda and was a member of the FDP state executive committee from 2001 to 2005. Since 2010 he has also been chairman of the FDP district association in North and East Hesse.
In terms of local politics, Lenders was a city councilor in the Fulda city parliament from 2003 to 2011, where he headed the FDP parliamentary group from 2004 to 2011.
Jürgen Lenders has been a member of the Hessian state parliament since the state elections in Hesse in 2008 on January 27, 2008. He is the economic policy spokesman and treasurer of the FDP parliamentary group.
In the state elections in Hesse in 2013 , he ran, as in 1999 , 2003 , 2008 and 2009 in the Fulda I constituency . Here he lost to Walter Arnold (CDU). However, he succeeded in re-entering the state parliament via a list of the party. He was again economic policy spokesman, transport policy spokesman and deputy. Group leader. Also in the state elections in Hesse 2018 ran in the constituency of Fulda I and this time was defeated by the new CDU candidate Thomas Hering . Since 2018 he has been the parliamentary managing director of the FDP parliamentary group.
At the federal level, Lenders is a member of the National Board of Liberal Gays and Lesbians ( LiSL ).
Other offices and private matters
Jürgen Lenders has been the 1st chairman of the Fulda City Marketing Verein Fulda since 1998 and an honorary judge at the Fulda Social Court since 2002. He is also a member of the Retail Committee and the Transport Committee of the Fulda Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Lenders has been living in a registered partnership since 2010 .
