Life

She spent her childhood together with her sister in Frankfurt am Main . She received lessons in lettering and lithography from her father. After attending the art academy in Hanau , she worked as a draftsman for embroidery and other handicrafts.

From 1910 to 1934 she lived in Dresden and illustrated volumes of poetry by Conrad Ferdinand Meyer , Joseph von Eichendorff and Eduard Mörike . Her etchings have been shown in many exhibitions in Stuttgart , Leipzig , Dresden, Meißen , Bad Elster and at the Frankfurt art fair.

In 1934 she moved to Chemnitz, where a large number of etchings, sketches, watercolor and oil paintings were made. But the porcelain painting also found her great interest through her many visits to the Meissen porcelain factory . She also experimented in this area with considerable success.

A focus of her work, however, were her pictures with motifs of alpine landscapes and alpine flowers, which earned her the nickname "Flower Minnie".
