Jürgen Radau (born October 2, 1947 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Radau played at Wuppertaler SV until 1969 before playing for Eintracht Gelsenkirchen for two years . In his first season he was promoted to the regional league. There, in the 1970/71 season, the fifth place in the table in the western relay was occupied. Radau moved to ESV Ingolstadt for a year before joining Karlsruher SC . At KSC he experienced his most successful time as a footballer. In his second year he qualified for the newly created 2nd Bundesliga . Radau was an absolute regular player under coach Carl-Heinz Rühl , he played 37 of the 38 league games, only goalkeeper Rudolf Wimmer and goal scorerBernd Hoffmann played more games. The season was a complete success, the KSC was two points ahead of champions of the southern season and so rose to the Bundesliga . In the next two years he played 17 games in the Bundesliga. Then the KSC overtook the relegation as table sixteenth.
