Jürgen Scholz

Jürgen Scholz (* 1929 in Essen ; † July 7, 2010 ) was a German entrepreneur and copywriter .

After graduating from high school, Jürgen Scholz volunteered in the advertising department of the Tengelmann food company until 1951 . He then studied at the Folkwang School of Design in Essen. There he met Vilim Vasata , with whom he founded the Vasata-Scholz advertising agency in Mülheim an der Ruhr in 1953 . This was the nucleus for Team / BBDO Düsseldorf.

Together with Michael Menzel, Jürgen Scholz founded the Scholz & Friends agency in Hamburg in 1981 and sold it to Bates in 1986 . Jürgen Scholz switched to the supervisory board of Jung von Matt . In the mid-1990s he retired to private life on a farm in Schleswig-Holstein.
